The deadliest crisis for children this century
The last year and a half of brutal conflict has left Gaza in ruins. Over 15,000 children have been killed and those who have managed to survive are severely traumatized. More than a million children are suffering from severe psychological distress, many unable to eat, sleep or even speak. It's the worst mental health crisis for children that we have ever seen.
War Child is on the ground in Gaza, working tirelessly to provide life-saving aid to children. We have been delivering emergency supplies including food, clean water and shelter to over 120,000 children and their families during the conflict.
But it's nowhere near enough.
The recent bombings highlight the danger of day-to-day life in Gaza. Children and their families are still struggling to access even the basic essentials they need to survive. It is a humanitarian catastrophe.
War Child has launched our biggest response ever, with the aim of providing aid, protection, education and lasting mental health support to over a million children across Gaza.
