War Child's Response
War Child and its partners help children and families survive by providing life-saving essentials such as food, clean water, shelter, warm clothing, blankets, and hygiene kits.
However, shelter and blankets alone won’t help a child sleep at night, and food and water won’t heal the deep trauma they’ve endured.
That’s why, together with our partners, War Child provides specialist psychological first aid to children. Group play, art, and structured activities help build emotional resilience, enabling children to better cope with stress and trauma. The sessions also offer a brief but vital respite from the horrors they are facing.
War Child support children for as long as it takes to help them heal, regain stability, and thrive despite the devastating impacts of war.
