Supporting girls caught in conflict.
Through Steam sales, charity gaming streams, events and more, Day of the Girl recognises and celebrates the achievement of women and girls in the gaming industry whilst helping to provide education, protection and support to girls in conflict zones around the world.
Since its launch in 2018, Day of the Girl has featured some of the most iconic female characters in games and has been supported by some of the top female (and male) content creators.
The schedule
In 2020, we kicked-off the Day of the Girl campaign with a Steam sale featuring games with amazing female characters including Fishing Cactus’ Epistory: Typing Chronicles, inkle’s Heaven’s Vault, Blindflug Studios’ Airheart and many more.
We also hosted the 'Game Of The Girl' panel, hosted by games journalist and comedian Ellie Gibson, and featuring Anita Wong from Indigo Pearl, Izzy Jagan from Square Enix, Jade King from Trusted Reviews, and Imogen Mellor from GamingBible who discussed their experiences in the industry.
