Through a series of music, gaming, and partner initiatives, Day of The Girl celebrates women-identifying talent, while raising crucial funding to help War Child protect, educate, and stand up for the rights of girls, women and children living in war zones by restoring their access to education, rebuilding the protection and support services that keep them safe, and empowering them to advocate on the issues that affect them.
Every day, girls in war zones across the world are being lost to conflict.
With conflict rates on the rise, access to education and systems like child protection services are diminishing.
In places like Yemen, Afghanistan and the Democratic Republic of Congo, girls are having to turn to dangerous measures like child labour and early marriage, where they face exploitation, violence and abuse, just to help their families survive.
Their futures are becoming lost in the chaos of war.
But War Child’s mission is to ensure a safer future for each and every one of these girls.
