'Women in Music and Creative Industries Panel Day' for Day of the Girl

As part of War Child UK’s ‘Day Of The Girl’ Campaign With YouTube Music, we have announced further details of the 'Women in Music and Creative Industries Panel Day'.

The event will take place at Google Digital Studios, Pancras Square, London 9th of October and aims to help inspire the next generation of female identifying leaders in the music and creative industries.

The ‘Women in Music and Creative Industries Panel Day’ event is where some of the music industry’s brightest minds come together to discuss key issues affecting women while celebrating their incredible achievements. This year, highly acclaimed British pop artists and Day of the Girl alumni, Caity Baser will be the keynote interviewee. The panel event topics are:

  • Celebrating Success: Inspiring Stories from Women in Creative Industries
  • Advocacy Through Music: Women Leading Change
  • YouTube Presents: Creative Entrepreneurs: The Next Generation
  • On Stage and Beyond: Women Leading in Live Music

Brazy, lleo, GIRLBAND!, Liang Lawrence and Chi have been confirmed as the support acts for the intimate live shows taking place in venues across London throughout the week commencing 7th October.

Brazy will join Bree Runway as she kicks off the series of shows on 8th October at Lafayette, London.

lleo and GIRLBAND! will join alternative rock artist RØRY at 100 Club, London, also on 8th October. British pop superstar lleo will bring their expressive vocals and distinctive sounds before Nottingham three-piece GIRLBAND! bring their joyous mix of pop, punk and indie.

Liang Lawrence will support Indie-folk artist Matilda Mann at Lafayette, London on 9th October. Fans can expect raw and honest music that leans into indie folk, soft rock and electronic territories.

Chi will support Connie Constance at The Lexington, London on 12th October, to close out ‘Day of the Girl’ in style.

 

The Day of the Girl shows are more than just performances; they are a lifeline for girls and women surviving war.
