Postcode Education Trust and War Child
War Child receives flexible, long-term support from players through funding awarded by the Postcode Education Trust.
We are so thankful to players, who with the Postcode Education Trust are helping us to provide education in emergency situations across all the countries in which we work, including Afghanistan, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq and Yemen.
Over the last ten years, players have raised over £23.4 million to support War Child’s work.

Funding from players of People’s Postcode Lottery impacts the entire life cycle of the War Child, allowing us to reach thousands of children and their families with specialised support. Flexible funding from players, allows us to shift our priorities at the on-set of crises and emergency, such as setting up temporary learning spaces for children who are displaced or supporting the development of a long-term strategy to deliver education in emergencies. People’s Postcode Lottery manages lotteries on behalf of 20 Postcode Trusts. A minimum of 33% from each subscription goes directly to charities and good causes in Britain and internationally. Players have raised more than £1.3 billion for good causes to date!
