Since November 2023, there has been an alarming increase in violence in North Kivu and the Eastern region of DRC between non-state rebel groups and the national army, forcing an estimated 1 million people to flee their homes and leaving them internally displaced. People are in desperate need of humanitarian aid as the armed group continue to advance on major cities like Goma, leaving more children and families vulnerable and severely at-risk of displacement, recruitment and sexual exploitation, as violence spreads further south. Terrified children are being separated from their families and urgently need our support.
