Since November 2023, there has been an alarming increase in violence in North Kivu and the Eastern region of DRC between non-state rebel groups and the national army, forcing an estimated at least 3.5 million children to flee their homes and leaving them internally displaced. 14.9 million children are in need of humanitarian assistance and severely at-risk of recruitment into armed groups and sexual exploitation. Terrified children are being separated from their families and urgently need our support.
