With guest appearances by Olivia Colman and Omid Djalili, with an exclusive live performance by the newly formed Solidarity Ensemble comprising musicians from Turkey and Syria join the line-up.
The show at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Saturday 15th April 2023 will be hosted by Jumoké Fashola and Halit Ergenç with all proceeds going to War Child and The Turkey Mozaik Foundation.
A special one-off charity fundraiser at London’s Royal Albert Hall next month is set to feature exclusive live performances by the likes of Marcus Mumford, Hozier and Anna Calvi. British actors Olivia Colman and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and the comedian Omid Djalili will all feature at the event on 15th April 2023.
Broadcaster, musician and actor Jumoké Fashola and the actor Halit Ergenç host the event, that includes a first performance by the nine-strong Solidarity Ensemble, formed of Turkish and Syrian musicians exclusively for the Royal Albert Hall show.
Irish star Dermot Kennedy, Nilüfer Yanya and James Bay complete the evening’s musical line-up.
Tickets for the event, put together by Communion Music and Sounds of Solidarity, will go on sale from 10:00am on Friday 17th March via https://www.royalalberthall.com/ or https://www.communionmusic.co.uk/, priced from £45, with all proceeds going to War Child’s response to the Turkey and Syria earthquakes, and to the Turkey Mozaik Foundation.
